Poem for Rhyl

Rhyl

By Gwynne Williams

Travelling along the A55
Signpost to Rhyl,
Spirits come alive.

Expectations on focus,
Of young and old,
"Tell me Gran,
Those stories you told
Of Rhyl in the past,
Has it had its day?"

"Dont be silly young lad,
Now go out and play."

Play on the beaches,
Play in the parks,
Plenty to do
Right up to dark.

Hustling and breathing,
People working away,
Making a life for themselves,
On this busy of days.

The town is expanding,
Growing in life,
So heres to the future,
One free of strife.
