The white waters of my youth
Have long since sped on by,
Now my journey nears its end,
Where the ocean meets the sky.
So, slowly I meander
Downstream the delta of death,
On outward tide my life shall ebb,
And thus shallow the depth of breath.
To the deep I am committed,
But rise I will once more,
For the sun is God's
Whose rays will light
The path to heaven's door.
