Hope Mountain

David Jones from Caergwrle, near Wrexham, writes about
Hope Mountain
It's time again, my friend to climb
Those ever steeper slopes,
You'll fall and slip, lose your grip
On the realism of your hopes.
In the evening the sun will set
Beyond the towering peak,
The shadow of doubt cast over you
As dark engulfs the weak.
But with the morning's ascending sun
Comes the forgiving morrow,
Rise again toward your goal
Leaving below the chains of sorrow.
And when you conquer the mountain of hope
Take in the believer's view,
For it's the sacrifices you have made
That can make your dreams come true.
