The land I love

Horseshoe Pass

By Angie

The mist-topped mountains hold my heart,
The heather-filled, rolling dales...
The seas that crash the highest rock,
My heart lies deep in Wales.

From hills of green to shores below,
To places that most folks don't know,
My heart could sing the range of scales
If you ask what I love of Wales.

I live in England, a proud, honest land,
A noble place so true,
But the land that calls in the still of night
Is the land of song and through...

...war and strife she stands so proud,
She speaks of her men, an honoured crowd...
Where the fight goes on and never fails...
In the land I love...my sweet, dear Wales.
