Photos of staff at the former Border Breweries Mineral Works, Mount Street, Wrexham, taken by its manager William B N Kington in 1947.

They have been shared here by his son, Stewart from Bristol who writes: "The group of girls [photo 1] is terrific. My father followed up the group photo by taking individual photos of each of the girls/women in their normal gear [photo 5]. Together they make a remarkable historical collection. I think the name of the woman in the back row standing second from the right was called Freda - but my memory is pretty hazy. I was only four in 1947. But it would be great to find the names of everyone."

The other photos are of the Border Breweries annual outing in 1947 to Blackpool. The photo outside the Border Breweries Offices in Mount Street is so atmospheric. Of course, nothing left of the street now apart from the Nags Head.

The high shot with the whole group [photo 3] with the coaches behind, is amazing. It was taken on 35mm camera so the detail isn't wonderful, but most people would be recognizable if the original photo was blown up [view full size]."
