Transcript: speech marks My picture is of a rugby team from the hospital. The hospital was renowned for its sporting achievements. There was cricket, rugby, football, tennis, bowls, hockey and also golf. The rugby team and cricket area was played on an area donated by a trust down by the river and it was hand built by patient-labour using wheelbarrows to move the land with picks and shovels and was considered to be a very level surface and people enjoyed playing on that area. The football team played in the Dyserth Area League and the rugby team played at North Wales junior level. On the demise of the hospital they joined with Denbigh town rugby club. speech marks
