Make sure the photos complement the music. There's no use sending us photos of a band doing a high energy set if the music you want to use is a ballad! It's surprising just how many photos a music slideshow can use so supply at least a dozen - but we'd happy with 30 photos. Less is more: Don't cram too much in a single action shot. Eg. If they're a four-piece outfit with the drummer at the back and the others up front, do separate photos of the drummer. Think of your audience: If they're watching in narrowband the frame size is less than two inches wide - so a close up of a great expression on one band member's face is worth more than a group of faces. Action shots: Take a range of action shots of one band member at a time. Photograph them as they go through a whole song. Expression: You're looking for (a) body movement, (b) the way they strike an instrument, (c) facial expression, (d) interaction with other band members & (e) variations on a-e. Make sure your action shots include the same person with different facial expressions - particularly if they're singing - as this will be reflected in the audio track You're telling a story: Ensure your photos reflect the mood & feel of the whole song. Framing photos: Add 'looking room' to some of your photos. This is when you have the subject on one side of the photo looking towards the empty space on the other side of the photo. One photo we do want: Please take at least one photo of all band members together. That's it - good luck BBC Wales NE Web Team
