Last updated: 20 January 2009

Owain Glyndwr It was also the spot where Owain Glyndwr was proclaimed Prince of Wales by his followers on September 16 1400.

The site is deemed of historical importance to Wales and, in January 2009, Welsh monument preservation society, CADW, announced it was to spend money on the site to protect its future.
