Transcript: speech marks This is a photograph of the Foundry Garage back in 1970 with my father standing outside, and the mechanic and some friends. He took the garage over in 1960, bought it from William Jones who had run the garage since 1928. I took the garage over in 1980. The pumps you see outside, there was a pump there from 1960s where all the neighbours used to complain about the noise from the pump, it was an old pump. My father decided to buy a new pump in the 1960s. The other pump is a 1950s-style pump which is found mostly now in museums and that. I worked with my father after leaving school and went to technical college and worked with him for a few years. speech marks
