My maternal grandfather was Robert Noel Chambres (the Chambres of Plas Chambres & Llysmeirchion) and I have never seen a picture of either. If anyone has a photo that they'd be willing to share with me I'd be eternally grateful. Visiting Wales is on my lifetime list of "to do" items.

To: Roy Pierce, Ewloe. How interesting it is to trace your family ancestry, and perhaps find someone of importance along the way. I believe my 'Pierce' ancestors came from Denbighshire too. In 1842 my g.g.grandad Thomas Peers(mispelt)was born in Northop. On the 1851 census it shows his father David as being born in Llansannan in 1808, his wife Ann Parry b.1805 came from Henllan, Denbighshire. Do these names link in with your family? Love to hear if there is a connection...)Sue(nee Pierce), Australia.

Could some one take a photo of the Pierce monument which stands in Denbigh for this site? I have visited it recently and witnessed the renovation scheme that is ongoing. I would like to see how this progresses. I have reason to believe that Dr Evan Pierce (the subject of this magnificent work) is a distant relative of mine. My great, great, grandfather's name can be found in an early census when he was living in Henllan and employed as a 'skinner'. I have not been able to establish the family link with the good doctor as yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that we are part of the same, extensive, family tree.
