Around the Rhyl and Prestatyn area there are only a handful of power kiters at the moment. But the beaches are well used by ourselves and whenever the tide is out the kiters are flying around.

There are lessons in kite surfing held at Kinmel Bay and there is a kite/surf shop in Rhyl itself. There are all different styles of kites at the beaches including buggying, where they have races from Prestatyn to Rhyl when the tide is fully out. There's also extreme kite boarders where they are racing around on all terrain boards getting big air and seeing who goes the highest with the best trick and not forgetting there is just the fun of sliding around the beach and holding on to the kite which is equally fun.
