Kinmel Bay is a fine, north-facing, sandy beach fronted on the landward side by a narrow promenade and sea wall along its entire length. Access to the beach is across the promenade from an extensive tarmac car park located on St Asaph Avenue at the rear of the ASDA store.
Toilet and café are situated on the seaward side of the car park. Kinmel dunes local nature reserve fronts onto the landward side of the promenade.
Watersports: Windsurfing and canoeing
Directions: Kinmel Bay is located to the west of Rhyl. Road access is via the A55 Expressway at Bodelwyddan. Rail access is via main line Rhyl or Pensarn. National and local bus routes via Rhyl.
