Mancot shops

Last updated: 03 February 2009

Q: Chris Jones from Mancot: "There is a story that Mancot once had 17 (seventeen!) shops all in business at the same time. This would be back in the 50s or 60s. Can anyone identify them all?"

I also grew up in Mancot in the '50s and '60s. I agree with Sandra Simms' list of shops but in addition I seem to remember a little shop in the row of cottages at the top of Leaches Lane just before the access to Mancot Woods.
