My genealogical research has turned up a distant relation who is listed at "Stansty Forge House" (aka "Old Forge House, Stansty") on the 1891 and 1901 census records. She is Emma Williams (née Baker) whose husband David was a Coal Pit Banksman and Colliery Labourer.

A generation of my family resided at Stansty Forge. Not sure if it was the Platts or the Humphreys... but I can check. Cottages are near railway line.

My Great grandfather was employed as a blacksmith at Stansty Forge. Can anyone tell me anything about the place? I've tried everywhere I can think of and still know nothing about it.
