The old National School, Denbigh

Q:Sandy Bryant from Denbigh: "Does anyone have a photo of the old National School in Lenten Pool. I attended the school. Yes it was many years ago and I hear it's no longer there. Also does anyone remember Rudy from the sweetshop opposite the old Wedgewood Cinema? Thank you."

Hello Sandy, I attended the school as I lived in Henllan Street and, yes, I do remember Rudy and his wife. I think he was German. We used to buy our sweets from him and he used to tease us when we tried to take the sweets from his hand - he used to take them back. I am now 57 and live in Spain. Oh, what memories of the school.

Oh yes, I remember Rudy's sweet shop - used to go there on the way from school. He was really funny and always gave me something free.
