Hill forts

Q: Robert from Preston: "Are there any important hill forts around Buckley and does the name come from 'pasture of the bucks' (deer pasture), which were important animals to the Celts?"

I've heard a couple of different stories about how Buckley got it's name, the above being one of them, but another theory is that it is a mutation of the Welsh 'Pwll Clai' meaning 'Clay Pit' which could refer to the town's brickmaking history.
