Pals' unnerving ride

St Asaph town centre

Last updated: 21 July 2007

Two friends had an unnerving ride from Bodelwyddan to St Asaph when they saw a UFO which approached as they shone a torch at it.

By Margaret Fry

It came down immediately and hovered soundlessly over the car. It was the size of a van and went from side to side, then towards the back of the car. As it was no more than 200 feet above them, they were very afraid.

At St Asaph it disappeared, only to come back and hover over them by HM Stanley Hospital. It followed them as far as Oriel House, a nearby hotel, then it flew away. There were no other cars on the road so they felt very threatened. They could not explain what they had seen.

One of the passengers was a farmer who had previously had another strange encounter. As a child, he was helping his father tend the animals on their farm. They were outside when they saw an object which they described as being shaped like a cake tin pass slowly over their heads at a height of 100 feet. It continued to fly very slowly towards Berwyn Mountain, making no sound at all.

Wot a load of tosh! I am a firm believer that life does exist beyond this miniscule planet we call earth. Prove to me that life does not exist beyond this doomed planet and I will comment no more. Maybe as a vile population that we are and our vile crimes we commit we just cannot accept that intelligent life forms do exist beyond our planet, obviously too hard to comprehend for most!

Well to be honest I think there is something in all this. I do agree that we have some fakers but the majority of sightings all round the world convince me something is happening. It's just what is it exactly that's happening? Any real ideas out there?

Sometimes I wonder about the intelligence of alien life forms. Why on earth would they want to travel millions of miles to frighten a couple of misguided individuals living in St Asaph. Its hardly going to be a life changing experience for them. Get a life

I use to live near the cathedral in St Asaph but now live down south in Southhampton. Well, what I'm going to tell you is from when I was about 15 years old when I use to live in St Asaph. I have always believed in UFOs and it was proved to me in 1998 when me and my father where on our way home from Llandudno and we took the short cut into St Aspah past Bodelwyddan Castle when we saw them. We were the only car on the road when flickering green lights almost blinded my father and me, these lights caused us to crash into the fence along side the road. Then these lights turned to a browny, red colour. About five minutes later they disappeared and then returned again but this time there were more of them. My father then managed to fix the car and we left. This was mainly the reason we left St Aaph, it is haunted and aliens exist there.
