August 14 1998, 2215 hours - A group of friends were travelling in two cars along the A483 Chester to Wrexham bypass when they claim to have been buzzed repeatedly by an elliptical configuration of lights that darted to and away from their cars, stopping at about 100ft above their vehicles.
For about 15 minutes the group were amazed at what they were seeing, but as quickly as the lights appeared, they were gone again.
That was the first call reported to North Wales ufologist Margaret Fry about that night.
Other people were so convinced that what they had seen was a UFO, that they called to report their sightings.
At Colwyn Bay, also reported to be at about 2215 hours, a woman out walking her dog at Colwyn Heights began to follow bright lights in the summer night's sky.
When the lights cleared some cloud the woman watched as the object appeared to stop and hover over a field.
At this time the woman reports that blue oval lights, arranged in a circular pattern, spun around the craft before it disappeared.
About 15 minutes earlier four women reported seeing about 12 opaque circles rotating and sweeping across the sky at nearby Towyn.
The phonecall by one of the group was short as the young woman said she and her friends did not want to get involved.
This same sighting just happened to be witnessed by two members of the Welsh Federation of Independent Ufologists who live in the area.
The last reported sighting of the night was at about 2230 hours when a couple from nearby Llangernyw, Conwy, reported seeing an oval of slanting blue beams of light.
A short time later the light changed to white in colour and about eight to 12 separate beams were seen to rotate and sway above a field close to where the couple were standing.
Investigator Margaret called a local night club to see if laser beams had been used that night and as well as calling local venues to see if fireworks displays had been held, she failed to identify the objects.

Hi again, I did report a sighting once before to Margaret Fry, but do not remember the reply I received. Anyway my wife and her sister were walking home through Llay near the Crown Pub on 14th August 1998 when they saw a UFO and it came down close to them. There were laser lights that night, but not in this area. My wife went under a tree, [for what reason I ask myself] and my sister in law stayed in full view of the craft. Within 12 months she had a large football sized tumour cut out, and the doctors said they did not know what it was. This is true. My wife was a sceptic before this day.

Never seen a disc, but did see a black arrow head shaped object with red lights around the outer edges in 1990s which flew over my home. There was no sound coming from the object which slowly twisted its way through the night sky. It was also seen by people in Caerphilly and north of Merthyr.

In July 2001 I noticed that it was a clear starry night around 11:30pm and I witnessed what I believe to have been a UFO. There were trees in my back garden and at first I thought it was the moon shining through the trees. I turned over in my bed and when I looked again the moon wasn't there so I got out of bed to see what it was I may have witnessed. When I looked out out the window and looked towards the fields on the left I could see a big orange ball of light moving in the opposing direction. I woke up my husband and he saw the ball of light that I have just described. I still wonder to this day what it was we saw. Any ideas?

We spotted an unusual object in the sky as we drove through Gorslas at about 6.40pm on January 1st 2008. It was dull orange in colour and was bobbing up and down above a playing field - it wasn't much higher than the roof-tops! We opened the window to see if we could hear something but there was no noise to it. As we drove closer towards it, it started travelling at quite a speed towards Carmarthen. As it travelled it went smaller and smaller until it went out of sight. We have no idea what we saw that night. We were told that someone spotted 4 unusual blue lights in the same playing field the following morning just before it got light.

I joked and said the aliens have come to invade earth, thinking they was helicopters but today 2 days later I was surprised to find out what we saw were ufos as it was in the Evening Leader.

In 1993 I was walking home taking the usual short cut through the school, it was about 11pm. I walked up the hill that led to the school field and to my amazement saw the field was covered in what looked like a big diamond of blue flickering lights. The field was rectangle shape and when I say diamond shaped I mean a point on each side of the field. I hope you know what I mean. Anyway, I was terrified and astonished because there was no one around other than me and I went to the school at the time and knew the lights weren't usually there. Initially I thought it was someone messing around but then thought well, who the hell would do this and why? I didn't go near the lights. I was very scared I didn't want to get beamed away or I don't know what really, so I just scooted off as fast as I could go and stopped at the top of the footpath to have a good look from a safe distance. In the end I thought well, I can't just stand here all night. I'm going to have to go and I carried on up the footpath but as soon as they went out of sight I ran back down a bit to see if they were still there and they were. This went on for about 20 mins and in the end I really had to go and that was it. I didn't tell my parents when I got in. I have no idea why now, and when I walked to school the next morning there was no sign of them. I haven't really thought about it until recently and now it's really starting to bug me not knowing what it was. Sorry to go on for so long and thanks for reading.

About 10 yesrs ago I was travelling with a colleague along the A483 between Oswestry and chirk. It was around 6pm and as it was November, it was dark. To our right we noticed a large light green ball that appeared to have smoke swirling around it, hurtling into the valley. We waited for it to hit the gound and here the resultant noise but nothing happened, it just seemed to disappear. I still wonder to this day what it was.

It was around 5 years ago and I was travelling on a bus around 9pm. Just before we came to Ashbourne I saw to my right a red light moving fast in different directions, forward back up down in the blink of an eye, it zoomed off and then came back in the same direction just as fast and was stationary then did the same again, it eventually disappeared. I was then home in Derby and noticed the same light hovering over houses (I was in the bedroom in the roof). It then again disappeared. The next min I felt really strange, I was also with someone else who had not seen the light at all that night. The temperature of the room changed in an instant, I felt like I was having a panic attack, we heard some strange noises that I am unable to explain, it was as if something was interfering with the radio as we had just been listening to some music. It felt as if I was in something metallic. I couldn't move, my legs felt numb, I couldn't move or scream. Eventually we ran down to the ground floor. This happened a long time ago, however it still plays on my mind, it is very frustrating as I just wish I could say what it was. It's hard for people to understand if it has not happened to them.

Hi. I have just seen what looks like 3 big yellow/white lights in the sky all within 2-3mins of each other during my way home at 23:50. They were circular shaped but I couldn't tell how big. One was towards queenspark direction, one towards Rhos and Pen y Cae and another towards Llay. They were definitely not aeroplanes as they were either extremely low in the sky or too big. Did anyone else see them?

7 large arrowhead shaped objects with a brownish orangey colour moving in a perfect unbroken V shaped formation suddenly appeared above me when I was in my back garden in Crewe on the 6th April 2007. They moved south to north, stopped then moved east slighty then rapidly changed to a westly direction and just disappeared without trace. I have since heard these are a regular sighting in this area but with yet NO genuine explanation.

Did anyone else see the bright silver object between the River Weaver and Wrexham Saturday 20th Jan 2007? I was driving when I saw it and could not stop right away. When I did stop although the sky was totally clear no object remained visible. Too low for a plane and small planes would still have been in sight as I managed to stop within 2 minutes. Cannot tell the shape as it was a quick sighting but very bright silver shining in the sunlight. Around midday.

I had been working on the night in question, I'm a singer that travels up and down the country, anyway it had been the day of the northeast airshow, I had been working locally in a club, came home with my wife approx 12:30am and we decided to go for a walk down to the beach (as I live about 200 yrds from beach) it was a clear night and very warm. We watched a plane making its descent to land as they fly over the beach about a mile out to sea then u turn back to line up with runway (Newcastle airport) anyway this dc10 passenger plane flew over where we sat on the beach and as it flew there was a bubble like light (bit like a weather balloon with a small light in the centre) that flew in behined the plane quite fast and stopped under the right wing, the plane started to bank left for the u turn and the bubble broke away and kept flying out to sea at some speed I may add (approx twice speed of plane) no I had not had a drink as I am a proff singer and not allowed, my wife saw it as well and she was shaken by it...I do believe wot I saw was not of this world. I did see a similar ufo 30 yrs ago on a same clear night (all had witnesses) they do exist, the government know they exist, I know they exist and no one can take that away from me.

I've seen 2 strange objects, first one witnessed with 2 friends high in the night sky around June 2002, we all noticed what we thought was a shooting star moving incredibly fast high in the sky then it suddenly changed direction and shot straight up! The second was a yellowish glowing object moving slowly, and very high across the early evening sky! Haven't seen anything since but something's definitely happening and I'm keeping my eyes peeled!

I live nr the A483 Wrexham to Chester bypass. After reading about the report of a sighting nr the bypass it imediately reminded me about what happened around that time and year. I couldn't sleep that night I saw the sightings so I had a cigarrete and smoked it through my window. I looked towards the woodland where I live and noticed that someone must be out that time of the morning with a torch, but the torch was not normal. It was like a prism of three distinct colours and seemed to be like a triangle with a 3d image/look. Then the torch shan towards me. I thought someone was messing about so I opened the window wider and noticed there was noone there but I could see this light going around the woods as if it was a lazer with no beam. The only way I could see it was if it landed on something like a tree or it was pointed on the ground. The light randomly scanned the area. I couldn't understand where it was coming from which was starting to freak me out. I thought there must be someone messing about out there but I couldn't see anyone so I closed the window because I didn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of messing with my mind and went back to bed. Since that night I realised that there was noone there.

Well one night while on the mountain having a general stroll i saw what at first i thought was a police helicopter. I took no notice to its direction until i noticed my dog barking into the fields. I looked to my left to see the "police helicopter" landing. i watched for a while as i noticed its shape was triangular unlike police helicopters i also noticed white and green lights circling this aircraft. It didnt completly land only hover about 5-10 meters from the ground about 10 minutes after the incident it gradually made its way up and left. I dont no what that was that night but it wasnt usual.

I noticed a light in the sky on Jan 5 2006 between 1.30 and 2.00am. At first I thought it was a star. It was a roundish shape and yellow in colour. It appeared to have 2 beams of light shining from the front of it. The object stayed still for a while then moved backwards, then forwards and stayed still for quite a while.
Also, to the side of it I noticed another light, a thin sliver of light. I thought it was a shooting star at first. That was a very pale yellow in colour and I watched it fade away. I wondered if the first light I saw could have been the police helicopter but when I opened the window there was no noise at all. Eventually the round object moved backwards and then just disappeared. I wonder if anyone else in Wrexham saw this.

Around 1998 Sgt.Peppers nightclub in wrexham had a machine which shone a circle of bright lights up into the night sky on friday and saturday nights, presumably to promote their nightclub. i personally recall seeing this in action while passing through rossett on the A483 returning to wrexham at night. i also understand that they originally purchased it from a nightclub on the north wales coast, in rhyl if i recall correctly. in my opinion this would account for these sightings.

The only REAL evidence we have of these 'encounters' in our region are eyewitness statements. It is a proven fact 100% of these sightings can be scientifically explained. I believe it's likely LGM exist. But I doubt very much that they have visited us. (NASA are spending billions on space exploration to find LGM) Some commonsense wouldn't go amiss. People who see balls of light hovering just above their cars etc, need to have their heads checked.

Then, looked again, and it changed its shape into what look like a triangle and was moving a lot faster than an areoplane. My friend Mike says he sits on his rooftop with one of his friends and says he sees them all the time.
