GB from Prestatyn, who took the photo, writes:
I have a small indoor fish pond in an old greenhouse. My wife asked how the fish were going on as she was recovering from an operation. I said I would take a picture of them.
To my astonishment the second photo had a face in the water. I am bald and age 60 - it is not my reflection. The first photo showed the reflection of the roof panels the second shows the roof panels and the face it looks - as if the person is wearing an old style nurse's outfit.
My camera uses blank floppy discs so double exposure is not possible. It is also not possible for anybody to stand on the roof of the greenhouse as this has no frame - just plastic panels. This is very strange has anybody any ideas?

Thank you for all your comments on my face in the pond photo, I have not seen anything since but my wife has pointed out that at the time we had an old English bull terrier that was called Shadow because he used to follow you everywhere. I had never thought about it but he would never go in the greenhouse or connected shed. When digging near the greenhouse to put down some flags I came across what looked like some old foundations, I dated some of the bricks to types used in the 1800s. We had some bird feeders on the side of the shed / greenhouse, I have taken these down as we no longer get any birds in that area. There is no doubt in my mind I unearthed something when I dug out the pond.

The face could be a ghost or it could be how the water has collected and the lighting could give off the effect of a face. I'm not to sure what it could be. It does look like a nurse. Did you see the face before you took the photo?

There are three of them but on the right hand side of the nurse there is what looks like half of an orb, look closely.

I can see four possible faces in this shot.Of the three 'tiles', the one on the right is most obvious - showing nun/nurse type look. The middle tile (with one fish) is that of a young man with light-coloured hair and a side-parting. The left-most tile is obscured, but may have otherwise held a face. Now look in the top left of the picture, just where the cables enter the water - there are some lighter areas which resemble a face (maybe the photgrapher).

It looks like a young servant girl from the 19th early 20th century or it could be a reflection from the person taking the photo.

Human minds are programmed to look for faces everywhere. We do this right from birth. That's why people see faces when there's nobody there.

Am I the only one to see several faces in the pond?

There are two of the 1 on the right and 1 on the left a fish is going through its face. Look closely.

It's sorta scary. It looks like a nurse/nun. It could be paranormal or it could be what Anon said.

Scary as hell! I believe in ghosts and this is a great picture of one.

More likely to be the same effect as when you see faces, animals etc in clouds. The brain associates simple shapes with recognisable objects and then makes this association. If a child draws a face it will most probably look nothing like a real face yet we still recognise a face. However, there is no proof either way on this photo and yes, it could actually be paranormal.

That is really freaky - it definitely looks like a nun of some sort and it couldn't have been someone behind you as who would scare a man like that. So it could be a spectre.

Well, I think that as your wife was recovering from an op a friendly nurse just popped in to see how you were getting on

It's a ripple distorting a reflection.

Spooky the face on the right does look like a nun or a matron from way back.

That's really creepy. I've heard many stories about faces in the water. Maybe it was your imagination though. Have you ever seen anything there before this experience?
