Tim became well known for his skills as a TV presenter, then pursued his first love - acting - before going to the U.S to work on the small screen. But he returned to the UK screen in January 2008 with the ITV1 series, Dancing on Ice.
It was treading the boards at Mold's Theatr Cymru where Tim first gained his taste for the spotlight. He starred in a number of local productions, including Animal Farm and he went on to do enough to impress casting directors who gave him the tough role of alcoholic teenager Billy Ryan in TV's Children's Ward.
After six series he went on to audition for the ever-popular BBC children's show Blue Peter and earned himself a presenter's job. Tim admits to being surprised when he got the role which he lists as one of the high points of his career.
The job helped Tim to satisfy his love for adventure. During his time with the children's show he raced cars and motorbikes, became a jetfighter pilot and qualified as a scuba diver. He also lists polo among his hobbies.
Tim went on to star in TV drama Dangerfield before quitting after two series and also stepping down from Blue Peter to take on the presenter's job for TV programme, The Clothes Show and he also became a presenter of popular children's show, Fully Booked.
Tim's known in the entertainment industry for his commentaries and he has guest presented a number of programmes, including live events such as BBC Wales's Millennium coverage.
Over the last few years he has carved out a successful career in Los Angeles, presenting a regular slot on NBC's Access Hollywood and a show called Phenomenon. He now lives in New York but is also spending more time in the UK, presenting the EuroMillions Lottery show on BBC One on Fridays.
