Bryn Williams First time in the spotlight during the BBC2 TV series 'Great British Menu', representing Wales.

He's in a relationship with singer Sharleen Spiteri who says she met his family on his nain's 93rd birthday in mid 2008.
Biography:
Hailing from Denbigh, Bryn used local ingredients in the food he prepared the 'Great British Menu' competition, including beetroot from his uncle's farm. He triumphed in the competition to create a fish course for the banquet to celebrate the Queen's 80th birthday, with the judges praising his pan-fried turbot with cockles and oxtail which went on to win the public vote.

Earlier in the series he saw off the other Welsh chef in the competition, Angela Hartnett, despite the fact that she was the more experienced cook.

Bryn's first job was at Alwyn Thomas' bakery in Denbigh, where he got the recipe for the bara brith used in his dessert course. During the TV series he was shown in Denbigh trying to tempt passers by to try his bara brith!

Bryn went on to train at cooking college and won the 'Student of the Year' award during his time there. He was sous chef at La Gavroche for three years and in 2001 he moved to France to continue his training at Patisserie Millet in Paris. He has also worked at Hotel Negresco, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Nice.

Bryn then joined the team at Orrery for three years.
