Jane is the Welsh designer who put the red dragon in the fashion limelight - by using the national flag in her outfits.
That was back in the late '90s and since then she has moved north from her native South Wales to Holywell, Flintshire, where she now runs a studio.
In 2006 her career took another turn when she became a TV presenter for ITV Wales, hosting the programme Family Fashion.
The blurb for the first programme said: "Jane Davies offers makeovers for sartorially challenged members of the public after embarrassed relatives have tried to inject some style into their dowdy lives. Mother-of-four Julie Tallis is nominated by her brother for a new look that will give her confidence as she returns to work."
And Jane is more than qualified to give fashion advice. She graduated from fashion college in 1989, showed her collection at
London Fashion Week and opened her own shop in Cardiff.
After the launch of Jane Davies Cymru, clothing designed using the national flag which is available in the UK, Japan and America, the range developed to include all national flags.
In 2003 in Dubai, Jane launched a new range which led to an order for a swimwear collection for the magazine, FHM.
In 2004 she was project manager for the staff uniforms at Wales Millennium Centre. She also dressed many of the stars performing at the opening weekend.
Jane came to settle in NE Wales in 1996 after getting married to Peter Brunton.
