Snowdonia

Location: Nant Gwynant to Pen y Pass.
Description of this walk: A high rise ridge walk that will take you up into the clouds.

This sky high trail will take you in view of Snowdon's summit, but offers a different route and a bit more of challenge than the hike up to Wales' highest tea bar.

The walk starts off along the famous Watkin path, then below Snowdon before making for the peak of Yr Lliwedd past Llyn Llydaw Lake towards the Pen Y Pass mountain centre, and it is there that Derek's guide on this walk can usually be found.

Nikki Wallis is a warden with the Snowdonia National Park, and is a member of the local mountain rescue team. She is also a founder of M.A.D - Mountains And Diabetes, a charity which helps diabetes suffers like her get the best of the great outdoors.
