In late December 2004 a massive tsunami caused huge damage and death in the Indian Ocean.

A group of South Wales-based music industry promoters decided to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for the victims. Within just a fortnight, a huge concert was planned and staged, raising £1.5m for the appeal.

Eric Clapton and Jools Holland headlined a bill including some of Wales' top musical names.
