Back in 96, I was working with two people who saw the Furries support the Bluetones, they got me a ticket to see them play at the LA2 a little while after. Well that was it... I loved em since. Their music is the type of sound you've been waiting for all your life.

went to see sfa in barry, it was a warm up gig and it was abrill night. It wa sthe frist time i went to see them and it was something i will always remeber. SFA are in my opinion the best band in the world.

I got into them around 96'. I listened to Fuzzy Logic whilst doing my paper round, I was 26, but still they were fantastic. If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You was on radio 1 a lot whilst i was doing my work experience.

The first time I heard SFA was when something for the weekend came out. obviously I was blown away by this. Then first seen them on the rings around the world tour, and seen them another six times since then. the best time I saw them was probably at T in the park 2005. never saw anyone else. they were amazing. I just wanna smoke it. SFA OK

I got into Super Furry Animals from hearing my brother play "rings around the world" in his room. Since then I have listening to all their albums 1000000s of times over and seen them live twice. The 2nd time I saw them live they came on the stage in a golf car with SFA OK for the licence place, what an entrance! They are easly the greatest band in the World ever!!!

LAst night was my frist time seeing the might SFA live and I was not disappointed. Whe you kick off the set with "The International Language OF Sceaming" you really can't go wrong. All of the new stuff sounded amazing, and the crowd got worked into a frenzy by the end with back to back favourites like "Slow Life", "Juxtaposed With U" and "Something 4 The Weekend" and of course ending with a stellar version of "The Man Don't Give A F***". I've been trying to spread the love as much as i can around these parts. People always ask me why I love them so much, and it's not something i can explain... I just do. Keep on keepin' on.

It was 2000 and I was walking around Virgin records and saw Radiator on sale. It was olny 5 dollars and the album art caught my eye. As I'm driving home I'm listening to it but not really paying much attention, that is until "Hermann Loves Pauline" came on. I pulled over to the side of the road and started listening to the cd from the begining. It must've been 9 o'clock when I started listening and it was jsut so beautiful. "Download" had me in tears because I'd just gotten fired and replaced by a guy I know is a jerk. Saw the SFA live a year later and ever since that night, I've been a die hard SFA fan. Going to see them live on the 28th at The Fillmore in San Francisco!

i first heard SFA's music live at bard college. at first i was only sorta into it, and thought the chord change in what turned out to be the "demons" chorus to be off-putting. then they played "mountain people" and the techno ending completely sold me. "i must find this song!" i said, but i had no idea what it was called. i first got guerilla, which was good, and then finally got radiator and mountain people--pop music that i can dig! i do love the orchestration of the album version, but the spaciousness of the live rendition is what drew me in. then mwng came along and blew my mind. how many from "the colonies" want to learn welsh because of this album?

The first time I encountered the furries I was doing a sponsered walk with school,i think it was around 96. a friend gave me a walkman and told me to listen, it was something 4 the weekend and i was loving it.he didnt get the walkman back for the rest of the day.The band rescued me from the clutches of rubbish like oasis, for which i will be forever thankfull. The first time I attended one of their gigs was in corwen- that was it for me.Im now looking forward to seeing gruff in colwyn bay theater on thursday the 10th of feb. and now after all their wonderfull releases I am certain that they are the most interesting and imaginative bands in the world.dont stop the music!!!!

Have your say
