The Stilletoes biography

The Stilletoes

Last updated: 30 January 2009

North Wales' pop-punk trio Stilletoes are a group of energetic teenagers who "provoke and want reaction".

Fronted by vocalist, Efa Thomas - who also plays lead guitar, alongside a 13-year-old drummer and a "hairy monster" on bass - the band certainly don't lack any attitude.

  • Efa Thomas: vocals, guitar
  • Iago Thomas: drums
  • James Peglar: bass

The band formed in the summer of 2006 and recorded their first track, Pawb Yn Dweud in 2007. The record was well received by the likes of Huw Stephens and Ian Cottrell.

Stilletoes also appeared on Bandit and Popty and also played a C2 session in Cardiff. Further more two of their tracks appeared on Ankstmusik's Radio Crymi Playlist 2 1998-2008.

Sownd was available on limited edition pink vinyl in March 2008. An album is to follow on Ankstmusik.
