The album was released on Mercury Records on Monday 16 November, preceded by the single Innocent, which was released a week earlier.

The album entered the official UK charts at number 11.

The 12 tracks were written and recorded over the past year and were produced by lead singer Kelly Jones and Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian).

"We needed to up the bar a bit," said Jones. "Otherwise it was going to fritter away like it has done for a lot of the bands that were around at the same time as us. And I think we're better than that."

Keep Calm And Carry On is a message taken from a World War II propaganda poster.
