Manic Street Preachers singer James Dean Bradfield finally took the plunge to record a solo album in 2006.
Fifteen years on from breaking his first promise as a rock star (Manic Street Preachers' bloody-minded early declaration to split up after one multi-million selling debut album), James Dean Bradfield, along with Nicky Wire and Sean Moore, decided to finally keep a promise, made at the Hammersmith Apollo when, at the end of a tour, he declared "You won't see us for two years".
