In the late Sixties, Beatles roadie Mal Evans was largely responsible for persuading John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles to listen to The Iveys, a band from Swansea.

Here Tom Evans, whose fatherhad a connection with McCartney's own father, recalls getting in with The Beatles during the Sgt Peppers period and how they were eventually signed to Apple.

This clip is taken from the BBC documentary Without You: The Story Of Badfinger, narrated by James Dean Bradfield.
