Video: Two Choirs, a short piece about the Aber Valley Male Voice Choir today and as they were in 1965 in the television documentary, The Master Singers.
The 60-strong choir was founded in 1959 by conductor David John Evans, accompanist Barrie Owens and a group of singers from the Senghenydd and Abertridwr areas near Caerphilly.
2009 they celebrated their golden anniversary in Westminster, with a reception at the House of Lords and a performance in the Speaker's House.
The Aber Valley choir has been successful in Eisteddfods over the years, and have toured all over the world. Present conductor J Geraint Evans took over in 1971 and since then the choir have performed in Germany, Ireland, France, Spain, Canada, America, the Czech Republic and Belgium.
In 1999 the choir had the distinction of singing at the opening match of the Rugby World Cup, the first at the Millennium Stadium.
Since 1987 they have recorded several albums, including 50 Golden Years of Song, to commemorate their golden jubilee in 2009.
