Andrew Logan
http://www.andrewlogan.com
An online taster for the high-camp museum dedicated to the work of legendary British sculptor Andrew Logan, based at Berriew near Welshpool in Powys. Logan was the founder of the Alternative Miss World contest in 1972, an event that thrust the late Divine into the spotlight and much of the museum is dedicated to frocks and memorabilia from the exhibition. Logan uses real, everyday objects and transforms them into something new and wonderful like giant lilies or Indian Goddesses, many of which can be seen here.

Welshpool
http://www.welshpool.org
Welshpool is where Wales begins, according to this website at least, and if this is where your holiday in Wales begins, then this website is a good place to start. It's got lots of information about local activities and attractions, as well as an interesting history section. The events section hadn't been updated recently when we looked but there's enough on the other pages to give you ideas if you're a visitor or a local.
Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway

This website about the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway has been put together by John Tedstone who has worked as a volunteer on the railway for the last 30 years. The website features photos of the railway taken by John over the last ten years including the stations and surrounding countryside.
Welshpool Golf Club
http://www.wiredwales.com/wpgolf
"Gleneagles does not offer anything like the spectacular shots with which Welshpool abounds" - that's just one of several quotes on this website extolling the virtues of the club. There are some pretty pictures of the fairways and information about green fees but not much else so it probably won't take you as long to get around the website as it would to play an 18-hole round here.
