Forces of Nature
http://www.forces-of-nature.co.uk
A website written by an enthusiast for enthusiasts which offers "a guide to sports driven by the forces of wind, waves and gravity". It covers surfing, windsurfing and kiting as well as mountain-boarding, climbing and gorge-walking. You can find out which beaches are best for surfing - not just in Ceredigion but other parts of Wales and over the border. There are also descriptions of good places to visit in Mid Wales, lots of photographs of beaches and mountains, a chat room, an events calendar and much more. Suggested by Anna from Aberystwyth
Innate Surf
www.innatesurf.co.uk
This website is in the process of being built and will provide an up-to-date list of spots in the UK including a description of the break and access routes. The second part of the site will provide a forecasts page that brings together all the important factors that affect the surf. The website is run by Danny Oldfield from South Ceredigion and includes a locals section for Mid Wales surfers.
Pirates of the Ceredigion
http://piratesoftheceredigion.cjb.net
A surfing site specially for students - in particular, members of the University of Wales Aberystwyth's surf club. It's a completely bilingual site so you can choose to check the forecast information in either Welsh or English. You can also find out more about the club, scroll through picture galleries of local (and not so local) surf and join what looks like a popular message board. One downside - the accompanying pop-up ads.
