Welsh language websites by the BBC, covering a wide variety of topics and interests suitable for Welsh learners and fluent speakers. You can read the news and sport, read reviews and find out what's on, follow what's happening in local communities with online stories from over 50 'Papurau Bro', listen live to Radio Cymru and much more. A must for all learners is a visit to the extensive Learn Welsh site, with a range of activities and resources.
Bwrdd Yr Iaith Gymraeg - Welsh Language Board

The Board was established in 1988 and its aim is to promote and develop the use of the Welsh language in Wales. It works with businesses, the media, local authorities and groups, and also works in an offical capacity advising the government.
CYD

Based in Aberystwyth, CYD offers social opportunities to bring Welsh learners and speakers together. Local branches are found throughout Wales and they hold a variety of events through the medium of Welsh.

Mentrau Iaith - Welsh Language Ventures

A Menter (pl. Mentrau) Iaith, or language initiative, is a local organisation which offers support to communities to increase and develop their use of the Welsh language. A Menter will offer advice and assistance to individuals, organisations and businesses, and will organise activities to raise the profile of the Welsh language. Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin

This national organisation is responsible for Welsh-language pre-school nurseries found throughout Wales. They cater for children from two and a half to five years of age. In August 2005, the mudiad's headquarters moved from Cardiff to Aberystwyth.
RhAG - Rhieni Dros Addysg Gymraeg (Parents for Welsh Medium Education)

RhAG is an association which represents parents throughout Wales. Their function is to promote the advantages of Welsh medium education and campaign for better facilities for the ever-growing number of children being taught through the medium of Welsh.

Y Ganolfan Iaith Genedlaethol - National Learning Centre

Nant Gwrtheyrn is a residential centre for teaching Welsh based in a former quarrying village on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula. From January 2004 it has offered courses on the culture and environment of Wales.
