Almost everything you ever wanted to know about Lampeter can be found on this website which offers a a wealth of information about town life. Details of clubs and societies are listed along with places to visit and sports facilities. There's also a diary of regular weekly events, a photo gallery of local scenes and a comprehensive history of the town, from the earliest settlers through to present day. This is the online version of Lampeter's community magazine 'The Lamp' which publishes details of local events and other articles about the area. The site also offers a 360 degree view of Lampeter town centre, a picture gallery and a list of recipes. The magazine version comes out every two weeks during college term time.

Launched in August 2006, this is a community maintained website for Lampeter. The self-styled 'unofficial Lampeter website' promises a business directory that's free to list in and free to use. Also free are events listings. As the website develops, features allowing local community interaction are also promised.

An online edition of the Cambrian News weekly newspaper publishing around ten news stories per week which have appeared in the print version. There's a good supply too of local sports stories and a useful searchable archive for both the news and sports sections. The site also carries classifieds ads. Some sections such as Family Notices and Jobs & Careers were empty when we looked in January 2004.

University of Wales Lampeter

With around 1,200 students, Lampeter is the smallest university in Britain, probably one of the most rural and, according to this website, the town has the lowest crime rate in Britain. The site seems to be aimed mainly at those who are thinking of applying to the college, giving info about courses and departments as well as life in the locality. For those who've already opted for Lampter, there's a busy Students' Union site dealing with everything from student politics and union campaigns to a Hot Stuff section on "nightlife which you just can't miss".
