Coleg Ceredigion

A bilingual further education institution, Coleg Ceredigion has about 3,000 students on two campuses - at Aberystwyth and Cardigan. From art to artex, its website gives course details in a simple question-and-answer format - how long will I be studying, what are the entry requirements, what will I be studying and what can I do after successfully completing the programme? The CLIC project is the National Information and Advice Service for young people in Wales 11 to 25 and their website provides information and advice on a whole range of topics, from education and employment, to family, health and housing.
Coleg Powys

This website covers the three centres which come under the umbrella of Coleg Powys - Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon. You can browse through the online prospectus, find out about full-time and part-time courses on offer as well as day and evening classes, and even fill in an application form.
Coleg Harlech

Even though its based in Gwynedd, Coleg Harlech WEA runs a range of adult education courses in Powys - including local history, IT, learning Welsh and others. Details about these courses are available on the college's website along with contact details.
Lampeter University

With fewer than 2,000 students, Lampeter is the smallest university in Britain, probably one of the most rural and, according to this website, the town has the lowest crime rate in Britain. The site seems to be aimed mainly at those who are thinking of applying to the college, giving info about courses and departments as well as life in the locality. For those who've already opted for Lampter, there's a busy Students' Union site dealing with everything from student politics and union campaigns to a Hot Stuff section on "nightlife which you just can't miss".

This is a website full of information regarding Children, Families & Lifelong Learning. It's a comprehensive bilingual site which aims to include information about services for children of all ages, from early years through to youth. You can browse through what's on in the community in the world of arts, dance and theatre, and also gain information about the Powys heritage through the use of maps, documentations and photographs.

Lantra is the Sector Skills Council for the environmental and land-based sector and they claim to help businesses profit, employees gain job satisfaction and people find the careers they desire. Their website has sections for businesses, stakeholders, employees and volunteers and young people which are full of information and and there is a contact form and phone number to get in touch too.
