Llandrindod Wells came into its own in the Victorian era when the railways brought hundreds of visitors to the Mid Wales spa town to sample its beneficial waters. Today, the town celebrates its links with the past by staging an annual Victorian Festival.

Llandrindod Wells is also the administrative centre of Powys - it's where the County Council has its headquarters.
