In November 2007 Capita Symonds Ltd conducted a highway operational analysis to supplement the Transport Assessment (May 2007) in support of the outline planning application for the proposed redevelopment of the Smithfield Livestock Market by J Ross Developments. Here the report details the proposed developments at the Brook Street and Jehu Road Junction.

"A preliminary junction design for Brook Street/Jehu Road junction is shown in the diagram above.

The existing priority junction has been changed so that traffic from Brook Street west gives way to gyratory traffic that sweeps around from Jehu Road to Brook Street east.

Consideration has been given to the accessibility of the residential access road opposite Jehu Road within the preliminary junction design.

The preliminary design drawings as shown for the junctions that form the proposed gyratory and are adjacent to the proposed development are subject to final detailed design following planning permission being granted."
