This comment on the year to accompany the exhibition was written by Club Chairperson Janet Pugh:

Janet : "Once again, Arthur Bell has devised an interesting and stimulating programme for the 2005/06 season, and most of the Members feel they have made good progress in refining their photographs, the results of which have been seen in Competitions and at the Annual Exhibition at Welshpool Library. The prints have been well presented, and the standard has been high, examples of inspiring work having been shown by our visiting Speakers."

As a newcomer to digital photoghraphy (I bought myself a Digital SLR about 6 months ago) I wanted to learn how to use the camera and how use my computer to make the best of my photographs, so I joined a Camera Club just over the border as I passed it on my way home from work. The members there ( there were several professional members ) took breathtaking photographs and we had shows nearly every week of their work but, nobody seemed to want to explain just how they achived the results, the camera they used, the lens they used, the settings, the where when and how of taking a%! 20good picture. Does Welshpool Camera Club address all these points?

I am secretary of Braunton Camera Club, North Devon. We have a membership of 33. Each Winter we do a CD swop with a club away from our region ie: Western Counties. We have a swop for 2008/09. Would you be interested doing a swop in 2009/10? What it involves is 150 images burnt to CD.Swop!
