I went to university in Aberystwyth 10 years ago, and one year my mum had come to pick me up for the summer break and we were driving back through the country roads towards Builth Wells. I was a hot day and the sunroof was open, and all of a sudden the car was cast into shadow. I looked up through the sunroof to see an enormous WWII bomber plane flying realy low just above us - it was so low that it was almost skimming the tree tops.(continued below)...

It flew over us and we both saw it fly through to the end of the valley and narrowly avoid hitting the hillside. It disappeared from view over the hill and we both expected to drive round the bend to see the wreckage right in front of us. There was nothing there and we couldn't understand it. We just thought maybe it had got out of difficulties and that was that - we were sure that it couldn't have done but we had no other expplanation. A year or so later, my mum called me to say that there had been a newspaper article in the Daily Mail which talked about a spate of sightings of ghost planes in%2! 0Wales. Strangely, all of the witnesses described an enormous WWII bomber plane with propellors looking like it was about to crash - exactly what we saw...(continued below...)

Many of the stories mentioned the lack of sound - and when we thought about it, that was what made it reallly wierd in that we hadn't heard anything. Considering it was so low and we had the sunroof open we would definately have heard its engines, but yet the whole experience was completely silent. I'm a reasonable person and I've read all the explanations of low flying aircraft etc etc. However, for such a large aircraft to be flying so low through wooded valleys does not make sense to me. Plus for so many people to see someting as normal as a plane and to report it as being a phonomena - well ! theres got to be something in it?

When I was a child in 1967 I got used to seeing a large black dog during the day and at night, but no one else saw it. The local story was that it was a gun dog that had been shot by it master and used to accompany travellers to keep them safe. My mother told me that it had been seen in the 1940's by visitors to her house. The other story was that it was from Roman times. All i know was that it was huge and its fur was short and smooth.

When i was about 7 years old, my family moved home, to a place called Hollinswood in Telford. My bedroom was on the front of the house, and i could see the staircase from my bedroom.One night, i woke up to see a black figure of a man standing at the top of the stairs, looking towards me. I didnt know what it was, so quickly hid under my covers. After a few seconds i peeked from under the duvet, the figure was still there. So i hid again, then peeked again. I repeated this a few times. I then screamed my head off,still hidden under the covers. My dad came running in and i told him what i had seen. He searched the whole house, including the attic. All doors were locked and the alarm hadn't gone off.About 3-4 years later i went to visit my family, in Manchester and my Auntie (from my dad's side of the family) came to me and said, "Laura, why didnt you tell me that you had seen Tony on the landing?" I then found out that my aunt was a medium, and knew that i had seen something years before. She explained that i had been visited by my mothers step-father, who had died a few years before i was born and that he didnt mean to scare me. My Aunt had never met Tony! But now i cant sleep with any doors, draws, wardrobes or curtains open. I cant look into any that is very black. How do i get over this?

When I was just a child like around 12 or 13 years old.I had the scariest experience in my life.When i was playing a Video games system, me and my brothers heard a noise when we were playing a game Named Resident Evil 4.So we went to go see what was that noise first it sounded like a moaning Zombie but it was actually my cat (Whiskers).Then then it made that noise again but it wasn't my cat it was coming from my attic.So we went to the attic...so we're goin up and then all of a sudden a Big Muscular shadow poped out of our backs and had 2 big horns in his head and it had a pointy tail.We all all fell uncouncience.When we woke up we were at our bed.my brother said was that a dream or what we were all scared to death.So Dont Please Never play Resident Evil 4 at 3:00 in the morning or it will happen to you!

I was driving just outside Brecon this morning, just before 7am, and about a mile before the turn off to Builth Wells, I saw a very large black cat like creature, with a long tail, on the side of the road. I only managed to get a very quick look as I drove past, but have never seen anything like it in the wild before - I would describe it as looking like a thin panther / puma, probably around 18 inches to 2 foot tall.

I was camping near Pen-Y-Fan with my dad a few years ago after we had climbed the mountain. It was during the summer but I couldn't sleep at all that night because I was absolutely freezing, even though my dad was out of his sleeping bag as he was too hot. I must have dozed off eventually but I was woken up by the sound of someone laughing. I assumed that someone else had pitched their tent near to ours and thought nothing of it. Everything in the tent looked normal and the zip was still up. Then I dozed off again and was woken again by what felt like rummaging at the foot end of my sleeping bag where our bags were. There was nobody there and the tent was still zipped up tight. I couldn't sleep again after that. I got up as soon as it was light and went outside but there were no other tents or people anywhere around. Also, when I got home and had my photo's developed (pre-digital cameras!) there was a picture of me asleep in my sleeping bag.
Now, I know it could have been my dad mucking about, although he swears it wasn't him, or it could have been robbers, but whatever it was, it certainbly scared the bejeezus out of me!! Never going camping again!

Dave, you are the first person I have come across that experience this type of unknown whatever it was. I live in an apartment in Hawaii with a freeway ramp located right next to my building. One afternoon I heard a horrific car accident. I too heard brakes slamming, and metal crushing and screaming. i was certain people were killed. I ran out of my apartment and saw absolutely nothing. Only one other elderly gentleman came running out of our complex that houses 200 people. The gentleman also heard it and was shocked that there was no accident and that hundreds of others didn't come out to investigare. I even asked people casually passing by if they heard and they all said no. Only me and the older man, who by the way I had never seen before or after this incident.

i was driving around town at about 4 in the morning in my taxi and all of a sudden in front of me i heard a screech of brakes and screaming, but there was no-one there i even got out of my car and went to look. then when i got back into my car i heard sirens coming towards me but there was nothing there.
