Listen to Walk 3
Starting point: Lampeter, passed St Peter's church.
Distance: 3 miles
Passing St Peter's church and RC Mount Carmel which dominate this corner, there is a long history to St Peter's.
The workhouse stood near here. The park with a local tall stone is George V park and the Shiloh Chapel is the 2nd Methodist place of worship. The first is still there behind High St.
The drive up to Falcondale is a delight and the Hartford family ran the estate very well and also built up the town as it is today. They were great benefactors.

The home farm and cottages by the Creuddyn river are idyllic. Another community woodland has been planted by the main road above the valley but not too close.
Crossing the Aberaeron road, there is a quiet road up to Falcondale Lake and a walk takes up one side of this sylvan setting. Up to the crossroads, there is a tower to be seen at Bettws Bledrws northwards, built by Lord of Derry Ormond.
On top of the hill is a road turning towards the village of Silian and this is the way of the 'coast to country' footpath to Aberaeron. Silian has a very old church with a story of the 'corpse candle'. Returning to town, there is Forest Fawr and five fields to traverse before arriving back at St Peter's church.

Probably the most enjoyable walking program on TV. And the choice of music was brilliant

Some interesting local information, but maps or route directions would be very useful.
