Guided Walks

Local ramblers and other groups organise a regular programme of guided walks across the region. You'll find full details by going to their individual websites and to make it easy, we've compiled a list of links.
Most ramblers groups welcome non-members who want to sample a few of their walks but if you want to take part on a regular basis, you will normally be expected to join the association.
Aberystwyth Ramblers
The Aberystwyth group covers north Ceredigion and organises walks on a regular basis. You'll find full details on their website along with advice on interesting walks in the area.
Brecon Beacons National Park
From March through to the end of October, wardens employed by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority lead a variety of guided walks through some of the region's finest scenery. A full list of events is available online.
Brecon Beacons Park Society
The objectives of the Brecon Beacons Park Society are to advance the enhancement, protection and conservation of the countryside and other amenities of the Brecon Beacons National Park for the benefits of the public. The website includes details of their walks programmes and special events together with information about other activities and a membership application form. Visitors are invited to read the information 'about our walks' before looking at the guided walks programme.
Cardigan and District Ramblers
The Cardigan group publishes a printable programme of its walks which can be anything from 3 - 10 miles in length.
Ceredigion County Council
Ceredigion County Council's Coast and Countryside Unit puts on a range of local walks, many led by local walkers such as John Morgan from the Ramblers Association or author Lawrence Maine. These walks are free of charge.
Clwb Cerdded Crwydro Caron
This is the walkers club for the Tregaron area which was set up in 2003 and which organises walks in the mountains surrounding the town.
East Radnor Ramblers
The East Radnor Ramblers covers the Knighton and Presteigne areas. Members organise walks every Saturday and alternate Sundays, with details of forthcoming events published online.
Fourwells Ramblers
The Four Wells group is based in an area which includes the towns of Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Llanwrtyd Wells and Llangamarch Wells (hence the name). This site was suggested by Derek Cosslett from Llandrindod Wells.
Hafod Estate
The website of the Hafod Estate containing the details of five way-marked walks, of varying length and difficulty for self sufficient walkers. The site also contains details of spring and summer guided walks of the historic estate led by estate experts.
Guilsfield Hill Walkers
This website is basic but to the point. You can find details of the next walk, the next season's walk program and information about photograph competitions and the Christmas dinner. Contact details are also available.

Powys Ramblers
Powys Ramblers website acts as a portal for three local groups - the Four Wells Group (see above), the East Radnor Group (see above) and the Welshpool Group (see below).
Welshpool Ramblers
Part of the Powys Ramblers, the Welshpool group organises walks every alternate Sunday and publishes its programme online. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites
