Eric: "I would like to recommend the new winter walk through the woods of the Hafod Estate, Cwmystwyth. Three new bridges have made this a great free walk and now starts to give you a feeling of how Thomas Johnes must have felt about this valley and why he put so much effort into its accessibility."

As a regular visitor to Hafod, I have done this walk quite a few times. It is both spectacular and dramatic. The often narrow paths with steep drops to the side require a small degree of fitness though. All the walks at Hafod are beautiful and I certainly understand why Mr Johnes loved it so. I keep returning as I am still searching for the unicorn. One day!!
