CAVO

CAVO logo Find out more about the work of Ceredigion's Association for Voluntary Organisations - CAVO - which supports the work of different groups carrying out voluntary work in the county. This article has been written by CAVO's development officer Angharad Eynon.

"CAVO promotes and supports voluntary action in Ceredigion. Membership is free and open to not-for-profit voluntary and community groups, and volunteers active in Ceredigion.

We provide information and support on grant/trust funding, fundraising, policies, establishing yourselves as a group, community transport, volunteering, etc. We also provide training to groups on many subjects.

CAVO sits on partnerships in Ceredigion and one of its roles is to act as a link between grass roots groups and statutory agencies.

We provide a bilingual service as well as reduced rate room and equipment hire for the voluntary sector together with many other support services. There are over 400 groups registered on our database, however we know there are many more active voluntary/groups within the county who could benefit from making contact with us.

If you want any information or support on anything to do with volunteering or if you are or would like to establish a voluntary/community group in Ceredigion then please contact us. Our office is based at Bryndulais, Bridge Street, Lampeter, however we provide an outreach service throughout the county."
