One of CARAD's volunteers Meeting people is one of the best things about being a volunteer, says Cath Allan who's been helping out at Rhayader's community arts organisation CARAD since 1994.

Which organisation are you involved with?
CARAD

What sort of volunteer work do you do and where?
Community Arts in Rhayader

How did you get started?
YFC Dramas and Rhayader's Community Play.

How long have you been a volunteer?
11yrs

Are there any special skills you need to be a volunteer?
None really but being flexible helps.

How many hours a week/month do you give?
Varies according to what's on.

What are the best and worst things about being a volunteer?
Meeting people, learning new things, being amazed by what people can do and sharing their delight in their achievements. Worst is probably also to do with people and their needs.
