Every year i go to the Victorian festival at llandod.I always make a trip to tregoran over the mountain road from rhayader, this must be the most spectacular drive in britain, how pleased i was on one of my visits to find the oriel elenyd art centre above the welsh gold centre, ihave been browsing the tregaron site and the only mention of the gold centre is the adress of the gallery.i think rhiannon at the gold centre deserves a mention for the beautiful works of art she creates in precious metals

I was born in Tregaron and my childhood was full of happy memories, walking/cycling on a Sunday afternnon with, my brothers also friends, Wyn Davies and Dai harvey. Highlight of the week was a train ride to Aberystwyth from Tregaron Station, cost 1s.6d return, A day on the beach or playing crazy golf by the Castell, then cinema in the evening followed by a fish and chip supper, then home. Absolute heaven. Bored? No such word...All for five shillings.....

I was born and bred in Tregaron, and there was always plenty to do for the youngsters. There are plenty of clubs in Tregaron, if youngsters can be bothered to get off their behinds, or tear themselves away from the computer or their playstations. That is the problem today, kids dont want to do anything except sit either in front of the TV or Computer or their games consoles. Get out there and get a life!

I grew up 7 miles from Tregaron, and before I passed my driving test my friends and I walked miles to each others houses to listen to music, watch movies play computer games, meet up with girls and meet up with eachother. If you're bored do something about it, and the lesure center wasnt' even bulit then. I rememeber one day we walked to Lampeter then to Aberaeron then up to Aberystwyth it was tough but we had such a laugh and it bonded us together.

Must check out the local fish and chip shop when visiting tregaron! It's a must. Horse riding is probably the best thing to do in this area! also, check out the red kite centre!

Aled, Try fishing - Carp, pike, fly fishing the Teifi, bird watching, running, cycling, athletics, The Gym, photography, mountain walking, swimming at Lampeter, or you can stand around outside the chip shop all evening with the rest of the know-norts!! if you want to do something bad enough you will always find the time and money..you are you're only limiting factor....whether you can or whether you cant - you are probably right!!
