Caron Male Voice Choir was formed in 1969 under the leadership of Mrs. Ethel Jones who at the time was head of music at Tregaron Secondary School.
Over the years the choir has performed in numerous concerts and festivals in Wales and England. They have travelled to Brittany in 1975 / 1976 / 1997 / 1998 and 2001, Holland 1990 and Atlanta U.S.A. with the world choir in 1994.
The choir has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London with 1,000 voices in 1986 / 1990 / 1992 / 1994 / 1996 / 2000 / 2002 / 2006 and have accepted an invitation to sing at the festival in the year 2010.
The choir sang at Cardiff Castle in August 1994 and 1995 and at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham in 1996 and 2000.
The choir's Musical Director is Mrs. Catherine Hughes who has been with the choir since 1990, Catherine works at Tregaron Post Office.
Accompanist is Mrs. Alice Jones who has been with the choir for over 35 years and is a retired primary school teacher.
Deputy Musical Director is Mr. David Bennett who is the local post master at Tregaron Post Office, and also sings with the Baritones.
The choir meet every Sunday at Bwlchgwynt Chapel Vestry 7.30pm.
