"This year, Talgarth Festivals 13th year, will host a full continental market, offering a huge variety of foods and products. To add to this theme there will be a fancy dress parade by local youths displaying continental outfits.
Frank Hennessy is to open the Festival on Saturday at 12 noon after a performance by the Tredegar Corps of Drums and followed by a performance by Hennessy.
Also on the Town Square will be a pirate ship, street entertainers, puppet shows, celtic dancers and more. The town hall will contain a craft fair.
Great Barn will be host to a food festival, offering a contrast to the continental theme by providing space for local producers.
Live bands will kick off on George's Green at 1pm and go on until the evening. Following on from this the town centre pubs will offer live bands late into the night.
A dog show is to take place on Saturday afternoon and the annual popular duck race on Sunday. A fly fishing demonstration by Paul Sharman will follow.
The Livestock Market will be host to a whole range of countryside exhibits and activities and Church hall to local history displays. The Bell Hotel will host the horticultural show and sell off the impressive produce on Sunday night after the grande finale of the firework display.
A candlelit concert will take place in a medieval church on Saturday night and Talgarth Male choir shall sing in Talgarth Church on Sunday night.
The Church will also have a flower display, the theme of which is yet to be announced.
A 'one man and his duck' display is also being organised.
