The performance of Llanidloes RFC throughout the last 12 to 18 months has been an all out effort this season for continuous improvement, the first team is showing signs of progression and are starting to put challenges into every game of this season so far - thanks to the effort of the players and the coach. however, the 2008/2009 season has been a difficult one. I feel that Llanidloes' chances of staying in division 4 now depends on how much they want it. Llanidloes Youth are also putting in a challenge for the "North Wales division 2 south" title this year, having only lost one game by March 2009 and a handful of games to play. As a youth player myself in my last year, I am greatly looking forward to being a part of the first XV next season and waiting to see what will be thrown my way.

I am one of the founder members of LLRFC and still watch for the results in the Wales on Sunday. I was contacted by Nigel Jenkins some time ago with regards to a possible reunion of the players who played in the first game/season up at the Van and early days at Dol-llys.Is this still on the cards I would really like to meet up with some of those guys - Barry Leach, Wyn Parry,Dyfed,Winston,Cliffy,Glyn'Willy' Williams,Terry,Tony'Prop'can't remember anymore. Those were the days.

Being a previous president's and founder member's first Grandson Rugby has been the majority of my life and blood. Should be a religion if you ask me. I'm also part of the younger players in the first team at present. Llanidloes RFC is a relatively young club formed only 30yrs ago. It boasts excellent facilites the best in North Wales. Excellent youth development that is starting to show signs of real success both in player development for the senior section and regional promise. The first team is rapidly improving and soon to be a contender for the division 5 title. A relatively young side possibly lacking experience in previous years can now push for promotion after an excellent season last year. Always looking to strenghten the squad and improve overall as individuals and as a team that can be watched with pride. www.llanidloesrugby.co.uk
