The annual trotting races were held at Red House Farm, Caersws on Saturday 12 July 2008. Over 1000 spectators watched the cream of Wales & Border Counties. Trotters compete on a track constructed by Harry Newey & Derek Gethin. The going was soft, but the rain held off for the afternoon to allow the races to be run in dry conditions.George Lewis sent us these photos of the event:

Brilliant day's trotting, got to be the best on the WBCRA, couldn't fault it if i tried. Beer good & cheap. Tea 50p, harness racing at its best, well supported by horse owners & public. I notice that the field has been ploughed & receeded, hope it ok for next year.
