This is pathetic. Sheep dogs are sheep dogs not duck dogs. I thought this programme was supposed to be a celebration of our wild life and environment not a portrayal of such aggressive chasing of some unfortunate ducks. All the laughter from the presenters made things even worse. Do they care for anything else but themselves. The programme has really gone down the pan.

We went up on Wednesday for Cob day and decided to pay for Grandstand entry as we wanted to view the classes in the main ring -although this made the day expensive with the entry fee we saw loads and remained dry!We took a Picnic which made the day itself less expensive as the on sit food can be expensive for families The buses were good and we did not wait for a service but the mud everywhere was atrocious surely they could drain the main ring and put down astra turf as they do in other sporting events? The car parks were awful on the way out-but in all honesty it did not spoil our day particularly when Gwenllan Brynmor won the senior stallion class! Still a great day out even though we go every year. Keep it up RWAS.

Parking was better this year apart from they need to sort out the queueing for different car parks rather than one queue for all. But when are they going to put drains on the showground as the rain runs off the roads into the trade stands and once again the locks are broken on the toilet doors and thats on monday morning! have they ever been repaired from last year?

A Fantastic show, despite the wet conditions. A big thanks to ALL stewards who give their time voluntarily, without them the show wouldn't go on. The Hunt Scurry was really exciting with a very good commentry by Chris Davies. Long may The Royal Welsh Show continue.Bravo!

After being a member for over 40 years I was very disheartened after being in the show yesterday.I arrived in south carpark 3 at 9am and had to queue for about 2 hours to go into the show.It was ludicrous. There was a lack of buses and organisation.Something needs to be done.I will be canceling my membership from now on.

Great day today, car parking at north 17 very well organised though slight traffic jam at 8am as we neared show. Everyone seemed happy & had a smile today & the weather was perfect.Amazed at the chain saw wood carving a life size horse! welsh guards band was fantastic as usual.

I love the Royal Welsh. Went last year because my parents were and I was bored stupid at home. Was the first time I'd gone in years and I loved it. My family went when I was little and my younger brother and I loved it then, now we're both old enough to drive there ourselves and went last year with our parents anyway. All loved the day, and I'm looking forward to going again on Wed. Is a lot of traffic but thats only to be expected, and the show caters for everyone, people assume its for farmers and such, its not, you could have an entire day there without really seeing much of the stuff people'! d associate with farming. My highlights last year were the Falconry, Meiron and the Quack Pack, the Sheeptacular (we see it every time we go, and my Mum and I both love it), the motorbikes (the guys doing mad jumps and stuff) and the Cossacks (so good we watched them twice).

Was it me or did anyone else get the feeling that the marshels in North 17 car park just didn't have a clue as to how to help the early arrivals?! I arrived at the car park on the last day at 7 o'clock to be greeted by several "bodys" who gave the impression that they couldn't be bothered! The car which they directed behind me was far too close so i could not open my tail gate. Apart from that, a great show. Loved the cossacks. The park and ride was quick and easy and the drivers were friendly and polite. Though i would still rather park nearer the show ground as in previous years. Personal choice just so i don't have to carry my stuff around all day.

It amazes me at just how many people have complained about "problems" at this years show. Obviously these peole have never planned an event before!I have been involved in organising just small pony club shows and that takes months of planning. Instead of focusing on the negative, you should be congratulating them on the positive. So I say well done and thank you for all the hard work to make this show happen year after year.

My family and i have attended the Royal Welsh for years, starting with 7 children and now only 2 as they have all grown. If you attend the show with a family over the week, it does pay to become a family member. But i think the food and refreshments are way to expensive.

This is interesting. My husband was at the show yesterday and came home fuming about the announcement that someone had left two dogs in a car all day. Personally I would have broken the car windows first and reported it later. Anyway, what happened? Did they perhaps turn up to the show not knowing about the ban, and decided to go to the show anyway and leave the dogs in the car for the day? Yes, appalling cruelty, but is there possibly a way round this? Could there be a row of kennels inside, or just outside, the show ground? I know it sounds like a 'left luggage locker', but%2! 0wouldn't it be less dangerous to the dogs?

park and ride was great and worked well this year, but the tickets are too expensive, they don't do a family ticket either !! The show is good for families and a great day out, but this still dosen't justify asking £18.00 a ticket when on wednesday the numbers were up to 68,000,it's being too greedy !!!

It is a truly fantastic show but i was dissapointed on getting a schedule to see the only partbred classes were for broodmares and youngstock and there were no 4yr+ classes for the welsh partbred!!!!! I have a beautiful welsh d x arab and would have loved to have ridden him at the royal welsh and cannot believe that this section of the welsh stud book is only partially catered for and yet there are classes for shetlands, arabs, hunters etc etc etc!!!! please add some ridden and in hand classes for partbreds 4yrs+ other than broodmares - my gelding wants to come and show off

The royal welsh show, brings nothing but misery for the towns folk, every1 in builth wells should be given a free ticket to the show or a least half price, people will say but it brings money to the town yep you right pubs and shops do very well none of it get pumped back in to the town. the main street in the town is treated like a big toilet it smells for months after the show. People of Builth Wells go on Holiday during the show to get away from the nonsense and most town folk wont go out after 6pm to avid the carnage of the main street...and as for the show loosing money on last years show, rubbish. Yes they made a loss off they profits. If the show wanted to show its commitment to the town they would be putting up new kiddies areas or skate parks for the young children and teenagers.

Having driven from Welshpool with my parents and 8 month old baby we were ushered into a car park with no problem. Then the wait began! I know the British are good at queueing but.....it was two hours before we reached the show field on the bus! We felt sure this would be sorted by the end of the day but North 17 had by far the longest queue of people(hundreds) and the fewest buses again!!! A great day at the show in beautiful sunshine. Thank goodness it wasn't raining and we are fit enough to stand in line! Get it sorted please

I think the Royal Welsh Show its a fantastic place to go when you get chance as its full of things for everyone. Plenty for kids and adults to do all day its well worth the money to go. I would go again its a brilliant day out even if it rains lol. If you get chance to go please do the people who arrrange the show do a fantastic job and well done to them all as it must be hard work organising something as big as the Royal Welsh Show.

We have been coming to the show for our annual holiday for 30 years and my children always looked forward to it as much as my husband and I. In our first year at the show we stayed at Penmaenau farm and there were only a few caravans there those days. I vividly remember that a group of young farmers from Ruthin were camping just above us and the field was on a slope. We were woken during the early hours of the morning when a ''certain young man' who was intoxicated) and shall remain nameless had rolled out of his tent and was stuck under our caravan !!What a laugh we all had. ! At that time my children were small but how time flew and it was'nt long before they were all having a great time at the young peoples village and in the town at night. We have so many happy memories of the Royal Welsh Show and now we are enjoying bringing our grandchildren. Thanks to all of you who work so very hard to organise the BEST SHOW ON EARTH

All being well, this will be my third year at the Royal Welsh Show and I can't wait! 2006 was hot, hot, hot! 2007 was not! not! not! But I didn't mind. As the saying goes, I was there. [in my freely handed out pac-a-mac]. I got there early on the first day last year, yes it rained. Yes there was some confusion about parking, but all in all, I thought it was done quite well, despite whoever ordered the weather! At least the show went on. Well done to everyone. I was much impressed.

Didn't make it this year, yet fond memories of this wonderful show. American shows/fairs can't compete, save the San Diego County, Ca. fair. Folks complain about parking and all, yet that's just the fun of it. Just a grand place to spend a few days in Wales. Keep up the good work--I'll be back.

Absolutely love the Royal Welsh. I have always been impressed with how well organised the car parking is, not this year, a complete shambles! Unhelpful and disorganised attendants. No one directed traffic on the Thursday so we all just drove around in circles. I had phoned the Royal Welsh the day before and had been assured there were no problems since the Monday. Rubbish!!!

You would think that the organisers would have learnt a little common sense? Especially after what happened at this years Royal Show at Stoneley. Obviously the pollution caused by traffic jams and turning fields into a natural disater area was of little concern to the organsiers, local traders, or residents as they were raking the pennies in. If this show is supposed to promote the agricultural practices of this Country having events under these conditions is certainly not going to win over the hearts and minds of people who live in the towns and suburbs. After all we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them as they are the ones who buy most of our produce in the supermarkets. As if the weather wasnt bad enough god help anyone that went for a quiet drink or meal only to be confronted with drunken youths and rubbish filled streets. I would be ashamed to say I lived there!

Absolute chaos. Obviously there were going to be problems parking, but the fact that the car park attendants didn't know who was supposed to park where exasperated the problem. It was an absolute shower (no pun intended) and I'm quite bitter about the long walk on the Tuesday what was that about? No time to sit in stationary traffic when you've got to get to work!

We picked best day weather wise great apart from parking. Really enjoyed the day, plenty to do plenty to see. Such a shame about the bus service in the morning, it was a bit of a shambles, felt sorry for the drivers.

I love the show but today we queued for 3 hours to get on a very muddy car park:waded through water on the showground and then took ab hour and a half to get off the car park as a tractor had to tow all non 4X4 vehicles. I was not impressed.

The Royal Welsh Show ....What a great time. For me it's a family time ....we camp and rough it. I have changed from going one day to two to all week and then camping! enjoy dressing up .... dressing down that is. It can be enjoyed at all levels. I love the parties amongst the animals in the cattle sheds...Sitting on the hill...The Pims in the members rest area and everything the show holds. I love the gardens...and come back brimming with ideas, but most of all I love the kings troops, the music gives me that 'feel good factor!' I have introduced lots of my friends to the show and my enthusiasm is infectious.

Every year I look forward to The Royal Welsh with both excitement and dread...it is so busy, so manic and just so buzzing. It can also be SO HOT! As a trader and member of wales craft council we show our crafts and sell our products in the Glamorgan hall and this can be a blessing in the rain, but Oh God in the heat it can be almost unbearable. All those people, but i do look forward to seeing all the different breeds, shapes and sizes of all those animals....Good luck to my friend Sue Rogers and her Arab Gwel Y Coed Arabians, see you all there again folks.

The Royal Welsh Show was better than ever this year and the weather was perfect. I thought the recycling scheme that took place throughtout the week was a real winner. There was so many highlights that I can't possibly list them all but what I will say is there is a good time to be found for all. Seriously think about attending next year, I know I will.

As contractors to the show, we are fed up with the Welsh traffic authorities attitude to harrass all commercial vehicles travelling to the showground. Every year they stop vehicles for no good reason and waste valuable working hours. Time for the show organisers to protest or time for contractors to boycott the show.

I have been attending the show since I was 3 - firstly as a child member, then a junior member, and now an adult member. I am now 20 years old. The Royal Welsh Show represents everything that is brilliant about Wales - the agriculture, the food, the sports (particularly country sports), and perhaps most importantly, the people. I enjoy watching the livestock more than anything, and hopefully, entry numbers will continue to rise as they did in the centenary year. What better sights than watching the running of the stallions in the main ring, or the powerful, yet some! how graceful champion bulls parading proudly in the Grand Parade. Children from urban areas can learn a great deal about animals they may only have seen in picture books, as well starting to learn about why it is so crucial that farming continues to flourish in our beautiful countryside. I really hope that this year's show will attract more visitors than ever, and that the rain will hold off! On a last note, congratulations should be bestowed upon the hard working, dedicated team who bring the show together every year - well done! I wouldn't miss it for the world!
